We represent injured waterfront employees under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. The Act is a federal workers’ compensation statute providing no-fault compensation and medical benefits to injured workers. Employees engaged in vessel cargo operations, shipbuilding, ship repair, and the maintenance of essential equipment at ports and ship-building facilities are covered under the Act. Too often, waterfront employers and their insurance carriers will not willingly provide maximum benefits or will terminate benefits before employees can return to work. We assist these employees in obtaining the full extent of compensation rightfully owed to them.
